The classic 800ml Eau Good bottle filters water using the traditional Japanese method with Binchotan charcoal, ensuring a cleaner, more delicious taste.

HOW TO PLACE THE FILTER IN THE BOTTLE?
1) Make sure the bottle is empty.
2) Carefully place the filter on the bottom of the bottle and rotate slightly to place one end of the carbon filter in the opposite corner from the locking groove in the middle of the bottle.
3) In one motion, tilt the bottle so that you direct the upper end of the carbon filter towards the locking groove.
4) Press the center of the bottle so that the stick fits into the recess and locks in place.
WHY CHARCOAL FOR WATER FILTERING?
Charcoal, like activated carbon, works by attracting negative ions from impurities like chlorine and binding them to its surface. It has been used in Japan for centuries to purify and soften water.
HOW CAN I USE IT TO FILTER WATER?
Binchotan charcoal can be used immediately - just remove it from the packaging and place it in any bottle or jug. After filling with water, you will notice an improvement in taste after about an hour.
HOW LONG WILL A FILTER LAST?
When used daily to filter 800ml of water, each stick will last approximately 3 months. You can then "recharge" the charcoal stick by placing it in boiling water for 10 minutes. This process reactivates the charcoal, removing any impurities that have accumulated on its surface, and it can filter water for another 3 months.
WHAT TO DO IF COAL BROKE?
The charcoal will still work even if it breaks. However, if you prefer to buy new, you can still use the broken pieces in a variety of ways. For example, adding activated charcoal to your fruit bowl can help keep it fresher for longer. Binchotan charcoal also helps release minerals like potassium into your drinking water, so in the same way it can help plants absorb more nutrients from the soil to stay healthy and green. Simply break it up and add it to your soil. Charcoal also attracts and binds dirt to its surface - and can be really useful for absorbing moisture and unpleasant odors. It's great for putting in a clothes drawer to get rid of dampness, or in a cat's litter box. It's also good for sucking up moisture from the fresh produce drawer in your fridge.
