Opinel Les Essentiels Art Déco knife and scraper set 4 pcs

The Opinel Les Essentiels Art Déco set includes a carving knife, a serrated knife, a vegetable knife and a peeler. The carving knife is suitable for cleaning and slicing vegetables, fruit and smaller pieces of meat. The serrated knife is ideal for slicing soft fruit, vegetables and hard-boiled eggs. The vegetable knife has a rounded blade and a serrated edge. The peeler is suitable for both right-handed and left-handed people.

Wood
95% of the wood used to make the handles comes from sustainably managed French forests. There is no excessive deforestation and no air pollution during long transport – all of this means less strain on nature. The main wood supplier has its forests in the French Jura region and is of course PEFC certified.

Handle
 This light hornbeam wood with a small number of grains comes from French forests and is ideal for using color variations. The handle is varnished to protect it from moisture and dirt.

Stainless steel
The choice of steel determines the durability and quality of the blade, and therefore due attention is paid to it, as it ultimately affects the main useful properties of the entire product. High-quality Swedish steel 12C27 Sandvik Mod was chosen for the knives of the Opinel Les Essentiels collection. This steel is highly resistant to corrosion and easy to maintain thanks to the addition of chromium (14.5%) and manganese (0.60%). The addition of carbon in the steel (0.52%) ensures an excellent edge that holds its shape even when in contact with harder material.

Opinel - a design icon
The story of the now iconic Opinel brand begins in the 19th century, when merchant Victor-Amédée Opinel learned to forge nails during his travels and subsequently founded his forge in France. After his death, his son Daniel took over the craft, becoming the local farmers' "sharps maker" because the blades of his sickles and scythes were widely acclaimed as the sharpest possible. However, the real Opinel - a folding pocket knife - had to wait a while for its discovery. Daniel Opinel's eldest son, Joseph, decided to follow in his father's footsteps and, driven by artistic passion, combined handcrafting with the most modern technology at the time and created a small miracle. The year was 1890 and the Opinel folding pocket knife saw the light of day, a knife loved from day one and passed down from generation to generation. The knife, which over the years has gained hundreds of thousands of fans around the world, has become a common part of many households and somewhat of a symbol of all of France...
Nowadays, the company produces not only legendary folding outdoor knives, but also has a sophisticated kitchen program, including forged kitchen knives; today you can also buy stainless steel cutlery and steak knives from the Opinel brand.

We offer the option of picking up at thousands of delivery points in the GLS and Balíkovna networks. Delivery to the delivery point is cheaper and offers greater flexibility, you can pick up the shipment when it suits you.
Please note, however, that there is a limited time for which the shipment will be available at the pick-up point.
Usually, the shipment must be picked up within 2-3 business days.
